Artificial Neuron in Scratch




Instructions:

  • Set the inputs by pressing the buttons marked input 1 and input 2 (Red is off(False or 0) and Green is on(True or 1))
  • Change the weights by changing weights 1 to 3, wx goes with input x and weight 3 is the bias.
  • To activate the neuron you need to click on the the yellow ball ('the neuron').

TYNKER - a fun set of games.

I have been playing with (and so has my son) the Tynker app (available at http://www.tynker.com/mobile/ ). It has a mixture of features, several games and activities to play with concepts of programming and computational thinking.

It has a Scratch/Alice look, with graphical blocks. The coding puzzles gradually build up in complexity. 

App also comes with a games creation option.
